From September 21 to 24, 2025, the third Joint Management Committee (JMC) meeting for the Antono–Dhufriyah Oilfield was successfully convened in Shanghai, China. The meeting brought together JMC members from both China and Iraq, as well as key representatives from the project team, for comprehensive and constructive discussions. Taking place at a crucial stage of the oilfield’s development, the meeting marked a significant milestone in deepening bilateral cooperation and advancing the project with greater clarity and coordination.

The successful conclusion of this JMC meeting not only reaffirmed the strong partnership between MdOC and ADO but also established a clear direction for upcoming priorities and operational arrangements. It injected renewed confidence and momentum into ongoing preparation efforts, laying a solid foundation for the timely drilling of the first appraisal well and for the continued progress of the oilfield’s development.
