Dhufriyah oilfield is in Mesopotamian basin, geographically located in Wasit Province, near Kut city, and with Tigris River across the contract area.
On the morning of April 6th 2026, Mohammed Y.Hassan, Director General and Chairman of the Board of MdOC visited the two well sites of DHA-1 and DH-1 in Dhufriyah Contract Area, accompanied by Jiang Ming of Ahdeb Director General, Qiu Chao, ADO Director General and MdOC team. During the visit, he listened to the work reports on the drilling and well testing progress.
Director General is deeply impressed with the endeavor and accomplishment achieved in Dhufriyah oilfield as he remarks: “It is quite a pleasant surprise to witness the tremendous progress made in such a short period, and I sincerely hope MdOC and ADO will work shoulder to shoulder to maintain smooth operation and jointly create an advanced oilfield in the foreseeable future. I shall persistently support the works in Dhufriyah oilfield and encourage the communications and collaborations between Ahdeb and Dhufriyah oilfield.”. Qiu Chao expressed his gratitude to Mohammad Yaseen’s visit to rig site and continuously support to Dhufriyah oilfield and will be committed to create a splendid future alongside with all parties and add incremental contributions to MdOC.
